Bruce Springsteen - Born To Run
180g Black Vinyl LP (Remastered Sony 88875014241)
Originally released in 1975, the third studio album from 'The Boss' was something of a make or break affair after his previous 2 albums, although well received critically, failed to set the world on fire at the time, Born To Run's legendary long studio hours spent deliberating over the tracks and different takes, takes you on a journey with the artist where you can almost sense the tension which was partly self imposed and partly due to the massive expectation put on an artist who was built up to be 'the next big thing' in the media and the record company at the time.
The long studio marathon paid off in big style as the album was a commercial and critical success and is still considered one of the best albums of all time. Springsteen appeared on the cover of Time and Newsweek and began the leap into popular culture through his adrenalin fuelled live shows and continuous work ethic as a songwriter/performer, his fanbase and acclaim continued to grow, eventually making Bruce Springsteen one of the best selling artists of all time.
