Originally released on Heavenly Recordings in 2015, Y Dydd Olaf, which is sung entirely in Welsh apart from one song penned in Cornish, draws inspiration from Owain Owain's 1976 novel of the same name. The book is set in a dystopian future where robots enslave the human race through the use of medication, while Gwenno's LP covers such themes as patriarchal society, government-funded media propaganda, cultural control, technology, isolation and the importance of minority languages.

This new reissue is pressed on crystal clear vinyl, and includes a digital download supplementing the original album with nine bonus tracks.
