Hardwicke Circus - Fly the Flag

EXCLUSIVE IN STORE SIGNING & PERFORMANCE SATURDAY 10TH JUNE 12pm
Hardwicke Circus are fast building a reputation as the most exciting band to emerge from the UK in recent years. With over 1000 gigs under their belt - including a recommendation from Sir Paul McCartney to play at Glastonbury, a UK Prison tour and a support slot with Bob Dylan in Hyde Park. Following their studio debut The Borderland and live prison album At Her Majesty's Pleasure, Fly The Flag is set for a full UK release on their own label Alternative Facts Records and is Hardwicke Circus at their most urgent, delivering 12 break-neck recordings like their lives depend on it. Fly The Flag is a testament to the positive power regional identity plays in shaping the country's art & music scenes. Just as Sam Fender or the Arctic Monkeys stay connected to their sharp tongue local dialect, The Hardwickes (as they are known colloquially) are proudly from Carlisle, the most northern destination in England, and in 'Our Town', they encounter the deprivation many Northern towns are facing and the conflicting nature of being so detached from the rest of the country: "it's a rough neck, blank cheque, silent howl, but I call it my town" sings Jonny Foster.
