The Legendary Verve Label present Louis Armstrong’s original takes of two of his timeless performances alongside modern reinterpretations by an all-star band led by Nicholas Payton and Wycliffe Gordon. Grammy-award winning trumpet player Nicholas Payton is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, composer, producer and arranger from New Orleans. Renowned musician, composer, conductor and arranger, Wycliffe Gordon is a veteran member of the Wynton Marsalis Septet and an original member of the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra.
