Originally released in 1990 to critical acclaim and commercial success, it's Kurt Wallinger's second World Party album after leaving The Waterboys. Formed in 1986 World Party were essentially a solo project with Wallinger often producing and playing most of the instruments himself. Goodbye Jumbo is often cited as one of the best albums of a great year in 1990 and deservedly so.
